Summer is the perfect time for a nice little beauty change. We all get bored of our own appearance occasionally, and a great way to switch it up is a cool new haircut that looks gorgeously flattering on our face shape and doesn’t require too much fuss to maintain. Want to try a sassy new style that’s totally on trend? Well, we’ve got options. Some will require a hairstylist, some you can do on your own, but all of them are cute, popular, and great for the season!
Shaggy lob with a side-part

A long bob, or a lob, is one of the easiest hairstyles to maintain. It’s still got enough length to be pulled back into a cute lil’ ponytail if you want the hair off your face, but it’s short enough not to drag your hair down and make it look flat. If you long for more volume in your hair then shorter hairstyles are definitely a great option. Have your stylist give you a nice cut, and then style your lob by making a side part, spraying it with salt spray, and crimping the hair with your hands to make effortless, easy waves.
Half-up top knot
An updated version of the regular top knot, the half-up top knot, as the name implies, only requires you to lift the upper part of your hair and twist it into a cute bun. If your hair is curly, textured, or simply very thick then you won’t need anything other than a simple hair elastic for this. However, if you’ve got thin, straight hair we recommend that you tease the top part of your hair a little before making the knot, just so it wouldn’t look to flat against your head.
Sleek and wet
That supermodel look with your hair slicked back is back on trend, and we’re loving the sharp, power woman vibe of it. A stylist can easily give you this look if you need it for a party, but if you want to do it on your own, here’s a handy tutorial.
Luxuriously long

Long, glossy, and beautifully healthy hair is back once more, and Kim K is leading the trend with her pin-straight style that reaches almost to her waist. We love this look, and you can definitely accomplish it by using hair extensions. If you want them to look good and natural, research for a trustworthy hair salon. For example, you can get human hair extensions in Las Vegas that are handmade and of premium quality. It is also important to use hair masks and quality organic hair growth shampoo that will help it grow long, healthy, and soft. Care for your hair ladies, there’s no better style than pampered, gorgeous locks that need minimal styling to look amazing.
The ‘60s flip

The ‘60s midi cut with a side part that’s styled so it curls slightly upwards is a very charming and feminine kind of haircut. If you want to rock it, make sure to grab a bigger round brush and to curl only the ends of your hair upwards. You can also use a cute pin to keep the side of your hair in place, and make sure to spritz it all with a little hairspray so it would hold shape.
Bouncy curls

You want hair that’s large and in charge! Big, tight curls are super popular, and while you can definitely get a perm at the salon, you can also make this style a lot more temporary and simply use a smaller curling iron to curl it from top to bottom. Shake the curls loose and wear it like that, all messy and big and wonderful.
Ponytails and accessories
What better way to combat the summer heat than with a nice, high ponytail that keeps all the hair back from your face. If you’ve got trouble with flyaways you can use a little hairspray to keep them in place, and make sure to pick a hairband with fun, shimmery details to make it more stylish. If you want your ponytail to have more volume you can tease your hair before pulling it up.
Choppy pixie cuts

Are you dreaming about chopping all your hair off? Well, what better time than summer to do that? It really does reduce styling time to a minimum, it’s trendy, and you’ll discover a lot more about your own facial features and what really looks good on you. Get a layered cut and use simple hair wax if you want to give it a little more volume and curl.
New hairstyles are fun! They make us look fresh, cool, and fashion-forward, and it’s always good to get out of the rut and try something new just to see how it works for us. Enjoy experimenting!
