Hey Foodie Peeps!
Take A Bite Out of Boca has done it again! What you ask???? She invited me to an excellent spot, called Fit Foodz Cafe, that serves food that I can actually eat without one single breakout! Woot Woot!
As you guys know, I am currently on a mission to clear this skin of mine and one way I have been doing it is working to stick to a non-dairy, non-soy, AVOID acids at all times diet and it isn’t easy! Although I am sure it will ALL pay off in the long run.
As always when I receive an invite such as this one I am always excited. Now check out some of these delish dishes we had an opportunity to try during our media tasting.
This bowl is filled with Avocado halves, fresh salsa, feta cheese, reduced balsamic vinegar, but because I am doing the non-dairy thing I didn’t have any feta and it was still AMAZING!
Power Bowl 🥗
I simply love their Power Bowl. The pistachios and the dried cranberries were an excellent combination and the chickpeas made it an excellent dish. This dish is usually served with their famous Fit Foodz Café’s SUE-per sauce (vegan) and goat cheese but due to my new diet I didn’t add any cheese or dressing/sauce and it was still SUPER Delish!
Quinoa Fried Rice
Peas, carrots, egg whites, red onions, corn, bean sprouts, low sodium soy. I didn’t partake in this dish due to the soy, but it definitely looked and smelled delish.
Harv’s Healthy Pasta
They served two versions of this pasta. One with zoodles (zucchini noodles) and another with whole wheat spaghetti and both came with mushrooms (my fave veggie/fungi), artichoke hearts, asparagus, roasted garlic, tomatoes, and spinach. This pasta dish was definitely a fave! I, of course, had the version serves with zoodles, and although not a fave of mine it is a good substitution for spaghetti.
Next came my faves…desserts!
Again, although I didn’t indulge in all of the desserts they looked superb and the ones that I did taste were extraordinary. The Chocolate Tofu Mousse Cup, Chocolate Chickpea Brownie Bites and Peanut Butter Chickpea Blondie Bites made me almost turn in my no soy card. Woo! The Carrot Cake Cookie Pies and Confetti Cake Cookie Pies made with vegan vanilla frosting, that I could eat btw, has me still dreaming about them and wishing I had more.
Check out me and my sister from another mister, Lucy of Lucy Cruelty Free Beauty below! Hey Girl Hey!!!!!!
Have you ever been to Fit Foodz Café? If so, which dish do you love most?? Inquiring minds want to know?
Have A Happy Healthy, and Remember to Always…
